Details of the May 2016 Canadian retail sales data report 22 July 2016
– Ex-autos 0.9% vs 0.3% exp m/m. Prior 1.3%
– 3.1% vs 3.4% prior y/y
Sales once again lifted by gasoline sales but also aided by clothing and accessory stores. Beer and wine rose 6.0% and were up 11.1% on the year. That might be all those rich Vancouvians celebrating their new found property wealth 😉
