Lithuania’s economic growth improved in the third quarter after slowing in the previous quarter, preliminary estimates from the statistical office showed Friday.

Gross domestic product rose a seasonally-and-working day adjusted 0.5 percent from the second quarter, when the economy expanded 0.4 percent. Growth was 7 percent in the first three months of the year.

The year-on-year GDP growth climbed to 1.8 percent from 1.4 percent in each of the previous two quarters. The pace of growth was the fastest since the third quarter of 2014, when the economy grew 2.7 percent.
