Poland’s economy expanded at the fastest pace in four years in 2015, preliminary figures from the Central Statistical Office of Poland showed Tuesday.

In the whole year 2015, gross domestic product advanced 3.6 percent versus a 3.3 percent growth in 2014.

The latest rate of expansion was the fastest since 2011, when the economy grew 5.0 percent.

Gross capital formation in 2015 was 4.2 percent higher than a year earlier, in which gross fixed capital formation registered an increase of 6.1 percent.

Total consumption expenditure climbed 3.2 percent compared with the previous year. Within this, consumption expenditure in the households sector went up by 3.1 percent.

Domestic uses rose 3.4 percent in 2015, but slower than the 4.9 percent climb in the preceding year.
