The Singapore dollar strengthened against the U.S. dollar in the late Asian session on Friday.

Against the greenback, the Singapore dollar rose to nearly a 4-week high of 1.4204 from an early low of 1.4308. At yesterday’s close, the Singapore dollar was trading at 1.4274 against the greenback.

If the Singapore dollar extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around the 1.40 area.
