Slovenia’s import prices dropped at a slower pace in February, figures from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia showed Monday.

The import price index fell 0.9 percent year-on-year in February, slower than previous month’s 1.5 percent decline. Import prices have been falling since August 2013.

Among the main industrial groupings, energy prices plunged 8.1 percent in February from the previous year. At the same time, prices of consumer goods grew 1.6 percent and that for capital goods increased by 0.2 percent.

On a monthly basis, import prices edged down 0.1 percent in February, after a 0.3 percent drop registered in January. It was the fourth consecutive monthly decrease.
