The 3rd Ferrari F12 TRS Debuts

Pictures have surfaced of the 3rd Ferrari F12 TRS. This example is painted in bright silver, it is currently competing in the Ferrari Cavalcade 2015 tour kicking off in Rome.

Initially created as a 1-off finished in Rosso Corsa, a 2nd Ferrari F12 TRS was then produced to identical specification but finished in black. This 3rd F12 TRS,  however, is special on a number of different levels beyond its livery.

To begin with this F12 it features a bespoke front bumper with different canards and a bolder splitter. Additionally, a custom bonnet has been installed which includes a massive cutout for the V12 engine. The other F12 TRS models have featured glass engine covers, but this example’s engine is left completely exposed to the elements.

The rear-end has also been changed with it including an even wilder diffuser.

Based around the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, the TRS features its 6.3-litre V12. This engine delivers 740 hp and 509 lb-ft of torque helping the car speed to 100 km/h in just 3.1 secs.

The car is rumored to be fitted with a Formula One-style KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) hybrid drivetrain, though no official details have been released about its go-fast bits.

No details about the car’s owner have been made public yet.

The new Ferrari custom Supercar is said to have cost its owner US$4.2-M+, and for that expenditure it reportedly sees a number of styling and mechanical changes over the F12 Berlinetta upon which it is based.

Ferrari registered the F12 TSR trademark with the Italian government last week.

Ferrari is a unit of  Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, NV (NYSE:FCAU)
