Reversing direction, the U.S. dollar rose against European major counterparts in pre-European deals on Monday.

The greenback edged up to 1.1169 against the euro and 0.9806 against the Swiss franc, from its previous lows of 1.1214 and 0.9772, respectively.

The greenback was trading higher at 1.5181 against the pound, off its prior low of 1.5210.

The greenback is likely to find resistance around 1.50 against the pound, 1.10 against the euro and 0.99 against the franc.
