Consumer confidence in the United Kingdom remained slightly soft in June, the latest poll from GfK revealed on Thursday with an index score of -1.

That was unchanged from the May reading, and it beat expectations for -2.

The survey was conducted before last week’s Brexit vote – although the polling company will do an extra mid-month survey to try and gauge the effect of the UK’s surprising referendum result to withdraw from the European Union.
