The Australian dollar extended its early gain against the other major currencies in the European session on Monday.
The Australian dollar rose to 0.9433 against the Canadian dollar and 1.5520 against the euro, from an early near 2-week low of 0.9359 and a 4-day low of 1.5707, respectively.
Moving away from early 5-day lows of 0.7239 against the U.S. dollar and 86.27 against the yen, the aussie edged up to 0.7307 and 87.20, respectively.
Against the NZ dollar, the aussie edged up to 1.0723 from an early low of 1.0656.
If the aussie extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 0.96 against the loonie, 1.53 against the euro, 0.74 against the greenback, 89.00 against the yen and 1.10 against the kiwi.
