The Australian dollar strengthened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Friday.

The Australian dollar rose to 1.0123 against the NZ dollar, from an early record low of 1.0089.

Moving away from an early near a 3-month low of 0.9512 against the Canadian dollar, the aussie advanced to 0.9543.

Against the U.S. dollar, the yen and against the euro, the aussie edged up to 0.7599, 90.95 and 1.4307 from early lows of 0.7570, 90.60 and 1.4355, respectively.

If the aussie extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 1.02 against the kiwi, 0.97 against the loonie, 0.78 against the greenback, 92.44 against the yen and 1.40 against the euro.
