The Australian dollar gained ground against its key counterparts in early European deals on Wednesday.
The aussie firmed to a weekly high of 1.4715 against the euro and a 9-month high of 0.7698 against the greenback, from its early lows of 1.4834 and 0.7615, respectively.
The aussie strengthened to more than 2-week highs of 86.25 against the yen and 1.0012 against the loonie, reversing from its early lows of 85.62 and 0.9955, respectively.
The next possible resistance for the aussie may be found around 87.00 against the yen, 0.78 against the greenback, 1.46 against the euro and 1.01 against the loonie.
