August monthly GDP from Statistics Canada
– Prior was +0.5% (revised to +0.4%)
– Year-over-year GDP +1.3% vs +1.3% exp
– Prior y/y GDP +1.3% (revised to +1.2%)
The downward revision to July makes this a small disappointment but with oil prices on a small upswing at the same time, USD/CAD is trading near the low of the day at 1.3384.
