The Canadian dollar strengthened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Thursday.

The Canadian dollar rose to 1.4566 against the euro and 84.92 against the yen, from yesterday’s closing quotes of 1.4578 and 84.56, respectively.

Against the U.S. dollar, the loonie edged up to 1.3409 from an early low of 1.3435.

If the loonie extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 1.43 against the euro, 88.00 against the yen and 1.32 against the greenback.
