$CORN, $WEAT, $SOYB
Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) Corn, Wheat and Soybean finished lower Friday on macro economic worries and diving world equity markets.
The most active Corn contract for Dec delivery lost 5.25 cents, or 1.37%, to close at 3.7725 bu.
Dec Wheat delivery dropped 7.25 cents, or 1.42%, to close at 5.04 bu.
Nov Soybean fell 17.75 cents, or 1.96%, to close at 8.895 bu.
On the week, Corn gained 0.47%, and Wheat, Soybean declined 1.51% and 2.95%, respectively.
Analysts said that agriculture commodities declined Friday as macro economic worries and diving world equity markets added fuel to the selloff.
CBOT agriculture floor brokers estimated that funds sold 6,000 contracts of Corn, 4,000 contracts of Wheat and 5,500 contracts of Soybean before midday, according to a Chicago-based Institute.
The final results of the influential Pro Farmer crop tour were released Friday, which suggested this year’s US Corn production at 13.323-B bu, based on average yield of 164.3 BPA, and Soybean production at 3.887-B BPA, with an average yield of 46.5 BPA, both lower than the US Department of Agriculture estimate.
Have a terrific week.
