Chocolate Café “dipndip” Signs $32-M Deal With Abu Dhabi Firm To Expand Globally
The Canadian company currently operates 50 cafes in 13 countries in the Middle East and Asia
Canada-based Chocolate café “dipndip” announced that it has signed a $32-M deal with an Abu Dhabi firm to expand operations globally.
The deal with Abu Dhabi-based Almed will help “dipndip” expand to 4 new territories, including Kazakhstan, Georgia, Shanghai and Indonesia, it said in a statement.
Currently, the company operates 50 cafes in 13 countries in the Middle East and Asia. It has 2X’d in size every year for the last 3 years, it said without providing further details.
“dipndip” CEO Emad Tinawi said: ““With our main focus for expansion on Asia, we are also considering other strategic opportunities for growth.
“We are pursuing an aggressive yet very carefully measured global expansion that will allow us to keep our quality, brand identity, and our promise to our guests whilst growing revenue.”
The company also recently underwent a re-branding exercise, it said.
