Croatia’s retail sales increased in September after falling in the previous month, figures from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics showed Wednesday.

Retail sales volume climbed a seasonally adjusted 0.3 percent month-over-month in September, reversing a 1.2 percent drop in August. In July, sales had risen 1.5 percent.

At the same time, retail trade value remained flat in September, following a 1.4 percent decrease in the prior month.

Trade volume of non-food products, except automotive fuel grew 1.3 percent monthly in September, while sales of food, beverages and tobacco fell by 0.8 percent.

On an annual basis, growth in retail sales accelerated to 1.3 percent in September from 0.9 percent in the preceding month. In value terms, retail trade dropped 0.3 percent after showing no variations in August.
