The Czech jobless rate declined in June, data from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs showed Thursday.

The unemployment rate dropped to 6.2 percent in May from 6.4 percent in May and 7.4 percent registered in the same period of last year. The rate came in line with expectations.

Job offices registered altogether 451,395 job seekers in June, down by 14,294 from last month. Job offices paid off unemployment benefits to 86,543 job seekers, which was 19.2 percent of all job seekers under registration.

The number of vacancies registered in job offices increased by 4,282 to 96,983 in June.
