Czech retail sales grew at a slower pace in January, the Czech Statistical Office reported Monday.

Retail sales grew by unadjusted 4.6 percent in January from the prior year, slower than the 6.7 percent increase seen in December.

At the same time, sales advanced by working-day adjusted 5.8 percent in January.

Sale of automotive fuel increased 6.1 percent and non-food goods sales climbed 5.3 percent. Likewise, food sales rose 3.2 percent.

Month-on-month, sales in retail trade grew 1.2 percent in January.
