Denmark’s industrial production increased for the second straight month in May, figures from Statistics Denmark showed Thursday.

Industrial production rose a seasonally adjusted 1.0 percent month-over-month in May, faster than the 0.7 percent climb in April, which was revised down from a 0.8 percent gain reported earlier.

Production in the electronics industry grew the most by 15.7 percent over the month, followed by manufacture of electrical equipment with 3.7 percent gain.

On an annual basis, industrial production advanced an unadjusted 8.4 percent in May.

However, during the three months ended May, total industrial output dropped 0.3 percent compared with the previous three-month period.
