The S&P/Case-Shiller home price index for May is set for release at 9:00 am ET Tuesday. The greenback traded mixed against the other major currencies before the data. While the greenback held steady against the pound, it strengthened against the rest of major rivals.
The greenback was quoted at 1.5577 against the pound, 1.1032 against the euro, 123.74 against the yen and 0.9664 against the franc as of 8:55 am ET.
