The U.S. retail sales and producer price inflation for September are set for release at 8:30 am ET Wednesday. Before these reports, the greenback showed mixed trading against the other major currencies. While the greenback declined against the pound and the franc, it was steady against the euro. Against the yen, the greenback recovered from an early low.
The greenback was worth 1.1410 against the euro, 119.62 against the yen, 0.9551 against the franc and 1.5383 against the pound as of 8:25 am ET.
