The U.S. house price index for February is due at 9:00 am ET Wednesday. Ahead of the data, the greenback came off from early lows against the yen, euro and the franc but declined against the pound.
The greenback was worth 1.0725 against the euro, 1.5047 against the pound, 119.62 against the yen and 0.9641 against the franc as of 8:55 am ET.
