The U.S. retail sales and producer prices for October are set for release at 8:30 am ET Friday. Before these reports, the greenback held steady against the other major currencies.
The greenback was worth 1.0763 against the euro, 1.0023 against the franc, 1.5221 against the pound and 122.71 against the yen as of 8:25 am ET.
