Dutch export growth improved in October after easing in the previous month, figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics showed Monday.

The volume of exports climbed 3.7 percent year-over-year in October, faster than the 1.5 percent gain in September. Exports have been rising since June 2014.

The annual increase in October was largely driven by the higher exports of oil and chemicals, the agency said.

Imports also grew at a faster pace of 8.4 percent in October from a year ago, following a 4.9 percent spike in the preceding month.
