Dutch industrial production climbed for the third straight month in May, figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics showed Friday.

Industrial production grew 2.0 percent year-over-year in May, faster than previous month’s 0.7 percent gain. In March, production had risen 1.6 percent.

Production of transport equipment expanded 10.5 percent in May from a year ago and that for machinery industry surged by 10 percent. In contrast, pharmaceutical production was lower than a year earlier.

On a monthly basis, industrial production dropped a seasonally adjusted 1.2 percent in May.
