The Dutch unemployment rate remained stable in the September, figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics showed Thursday.

The jobless rate came in at 6.8 percent in September, the same rate as seen in July and August. The number of unemployed increased to 607,000 from 604,000 in prior month.

On an unadjusted basis, the unemployment rate rose to 6.8 percent from 6.4 percent in August.

The youth unemployment rate increased to 11.5 percent from 11.2 percent in August. There were 161,000 unemployed youth in September.
