FXStreet (Mumbai) – The latest chatter in the markets is that the European Central Bank (ECB) governing council will discuss the emergency liquidity assistance (ELA) to Greece later.
Earlier today, a BBC journalist reported that Greece’s economic minister anticipates ECB extending the ELA for 7-10 days while negotiations continue. Meanwhile, EU’s Dombrovskis said that the ECB is monitoring the financial markets, while the ECB;s Nowotny said the Greek banks tend to run out of liquidity and that the developments over the weekend do not make ELA decision easier.
