Estonia’s consumer prices dropped at a slower pace in April, figures from Statistics Estonia showed Friday.
The consumer price index edged down 0.1 percent year-over-year in April, slower than previous month’s 0.6 percent decrease.
The decline in April was largely caused by cheaper motor fuel prices that plunged by 10.8 percent from a year go.
Prices of food and alcoholic beverages slipped 0.2 percent annually in April and transport costs decreased by 6.0 percent. Meanwhile, clothing and footwear prices grew 2.0 percent.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased at a slower pace of 0.5 percent in April, following a 0.6 percent climb in March.
