Estonia’s industrial production decreased in May, after recovering for the first time in thirteen months in April, figures from Statistics Estonia showed Friday.
Industrial production fell a working-day-adjusted 2.0 percent year-over-year in May, in contrast to a 0.6 percent rise in April.
Production in the energy sector slumped 19.9 percent annually in May and mining output declined by 12.5 percent. At the same time, manufacturing production grew 0.5 percent.
On a monthly basis, industrial production dropped a seasonally adjusted 3.3 percent in May, reversing a 5.6 percent gain in the prior month.
