Estonia’s industrial production growth slowed in March, after accelerating in the previous month, figures from Statistics Estonia showed Thursday.

Industrial production rose a working-day-adjusted 1.4 percent year-over-year in March, much slower than February’s 4.9 percent climb. Production has been increasing since April last year.

Production in the manufacturing sector grew 3.0 percent in March from a year ago, while mining and quarrying output fell by 2.1 percent. Energy sector also logged a decline of 10.1 percent.

On an unadjusted basis, industrial production expanded 4.0 percent annually in March.

Month-on-month, industrial production dropped a seasonally adjusted 1.0 percent in March, in contrast to a 1.6 percent rise in the prior month. In January, production had fallen 2.9 percent.
