Estonia’s producer prices decreased at a faster pace in July from the previous month, figures from Statistics Estonia showed Friday.

The producer price index fell 3.1 percent year-over-year in July, faster than June’s 1.7 percent decrease.

Prices in the manufacturing sector dipped 2.5 percent in July from a year ago and that for utility sector dropped by 17.5 percent. At the same time, mining prices jumped 20.4 percent.

On a monthly basis, producer prices declined 0.8 percent in July, reversing the 0.2 percent rise in the preceding month.

Import prices slid 3.2 percent in July from the prior year and declined 0.6 percent from the previous month. Similarly, export prices dropped 4.0 percent annually and declined 0.6 percent monthly in July.
