Estonia’s consumer prices declined for the ninth straight month in February, Statistics Estonia reported Monday.
The consumer price index dropped 0.5 percent on a yearly basis, following a 0.6 percent fall in January.
Prices of goods and services declined 0.3 percent and 0.7 percent, respectively. Food and non-alcoholic beverages prices dropped 0.4 percent and housing cost slid 3.2 percent.
Cost of education logged a sharp 13.5 percent decrease. Meanwhile, clothing and footwear prices advanced 3.9 percent.
Month-on-month, consumer prices gained 0.7 percent compared to a 0.1 percent fall a month ago.
