The euro weakened against the other major currencies in the early European session on Tuesday.
The euro fell to 4-day lows of 1.0978 against the U.S. dollar, 132.61 against the yen and 1.4403 against the Canadian dollar, from early highs of 1.1030, 133.12 and 1.4439, respectively.
Against the pound, the euro dropped to 0.7124 from an early high of 0.7147.
The euro edged down to 1.0855 against the Swiss franc, from an early high of 1.0876. This may be compared to an early 4-day low of 1.0854.
If the euro extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support 1.08 around against the greenback, 131.00 against the yen, 1.41 against the loonie, 0.70 against the pound and 1.07 against the franc.
