The euro weakened against the other major currencies in the early European session on Friday.
The euro fell to 0.7327 against the pound and 1.0430 against the Swiss franc, from early highs of 0.7337 and 1.0442, respectively.
Against the U.S. dollar and the yen, the euro edged down to 1.0866 and 130.02 from early highs of 1.0888 and 130.35, respectively.
If the euro extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support around 0.70 against the pound, 0.96 against the franc, 1.04 against the greenback and 126.50 against the yen.
