At 4:00 am ET Friday, Eurozone flash PMI report is due. Economists expect the composite PMI to fall to 53.7 in August from 53.9 in July.
Ahead of the data, the euro edged down against its major rivals.
The euro was worth 1.1250 against the greenback, 138.25 against the yen, 0.7162 against the pound and 1.0764 against the franc as of 3:55 am ET.
