Destatis released preliminary German gross domestic product data for the third quarter in the pre-European session at 2:00 am ET Friday.
After the data, the euro changed little against its major rivals.
As of 2:01 am ET, the euro was trading at 0.7087 against the pound, 1.0808 against the Swiss franc, 1.0788 against the U.S. dollar and 132.32 against the yen.
