At 3:55 am ET Tuesday, the Federal Labor Agency is set to release Germany’s unemployment data for December. The jobless rate is seen unchanged at seasonally adjusted 6.3 percent in December.
The euro traded mixed against the other major currencies ahead of the data.
While the euro fell against the yen and the greenback, it recovered from its early lows against the pound and the franc.
The euro was worth 1.0794 against the greenback, 128.72 against the yen, 1.0855 against the Swiss franc and 0.7349 against the pound as of 3:50 am ET.
