The euro strengthened against most major currencies in the late Asian session on Thursday.

The euro rose to nearly a 3-month high of 0.7453 against the pound and more than a 2-1/2-month high of 135.81 against the yen, from early lows of 0.7434 and 135.17, respectively.

Against the U.S. and the Canadian dollars, the euro edged up to 1.1365 and 1.3683 from early lows of 1.1324 and 1.3645, respectively.

If the euro extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 0.76 against the pound, 138.00 against the yen, 1.15 against the greenback and 1.38 against the loonie.
