At 5:00 am ET Thursday, Eurostat is scheduled to issue industrial output for September. Eurozone output is expected to fall 0.1 percent on a monthly basis after declining 0.5 percent in August.

The euro fell against its major rivals before the data.

The euro was worth 1.0711 against the greenback, 131.84 against the yen, 0.7057 against the pound and 1.0759 against the franc as of 4:55 am ET.
