Following the release of Eurozone advanced consumer confidence index for August at 10:00 am ET Friday, the euro inched up against the other major currencies.
The euro was worth 1.1305 against the greenback, 138.51 against the yen, 1.0779 against the franc and 0.7202 against the pound around 10:03 am ET.
