The announcement of monetary policy decision by the Bank of England is the major event due on Thursday.

At 2.00 am ET, Germany’s wholesale price figures for December are due. Wholesale prices had declined 1.1 percent year-on-year in November.

In the meantime, Statistics Finland releases consumer price data for December. Prices are forecast to remain flat after falling 0.2 percent in November.

At 3.00 am ET, consumer prices are due from Hungary. Inflation is seen at 0.9 percent in December versus 0.5 percent in November.

At 3.30 am ET, Statistics Sweden publishes consumer prices for December. Inflation is forecast to remain unchanged at 0.1 percent in December.

At 4.00 am ET, Destatis publishes Germany’s 2015 GDP data. Also, Italy’s industrial output data is due. Economists forecast output to grow 0.2 percent on a monthly basis in November after rising 0.5 percent in October.

At 6.00 am ET, Ireland’s consumer price figures for December are due. Prices had declined 0.2 percent on a yearly basis in November.

At 7.00 am ET, the Bank of England is slated to announce its monetary policy decision and the minutes of the meeting. The bank is widely expected to keep its record low 0.50 percent interest rate and asset purchase programme at GBP 375 billion.

Half an hour later, the European Central Bank is set to publish account of the monetary policy meeting.
