Finland’s retail sales increased less than initially estimated in April, final figures from Statistics Finland showed Wednesday.
Retail sales value excluding automobile trade rose 1.0 percent year-over-year in April instead of a 1.5 percent gain estimated initially.
In March, sales had fallen 1.0 percent, which was revised from a 0.8 percent decrease reported earlier.
Sales in department stores grew 12.8 percent annually in April, while sales of daily consumer goods dropped by 1.6 percent.
At the same time, wholesale trade declined at a slower pace of 4.5 percent in April from a year ago, following a 5.2 percent fall in March.
