Finland’s unemployment rate increased for the third straight month in February, though marginally, figures from Statistics Finland showed Tuesday.

The jobless rate rose to 9.4 percent in February from 9.3 percent in January. In the corresponding month of the previous year, the unemployment rate was 10.1 percent.

The latest jobless rate was the highest since June 2015, when it marked 10.0 percent.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the unemployment rate also dropped slightly to 9.2 percent in February from 9.3 percent in January.

The number of unemployed people grew to 248,000 in February from 245,000 in the preceding month. A year ago, the jobless figure totaled 268,000.

At the same time, the employment rate held steady at 58.0 percent in February.
