At 6.00 am ET Wednesday, the Centre for European Economic Research/ZEW in cooperation with Credit Suisse releases Swiss economic confidence survey results for March. The ZEW-CS-Indicator for the economic sentiment had dropped 2.9 points to -5.9 in February.

Ahead of the data, the franc showed mixed trading against its major rivals.
While the franc rose against the yen and the pound, it fell against the greenback. Against the euro, it held steady.

The franc was worth 0.9755 against the greenback, 115.45 against the yen, 1.0917 against the euro and 1.3825 against the pound as of 5:55 am ET.
