FXStreet (Mumbai) – The preliminary data released by the Destatis today showed German CPI fell 0.1% month-on-month in June, missing the estimate of a 0.1% gain. The previous number stands unchanged at 0.1%.
The year-on-year CPI rose 0.3%, missing the estimate of a 0.5% gain. The CPI stood at 0.7% in May. The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices contracted 0.2% month-on-month, compared to an expected 0.2% gain. Year-on-year the index missed the estimate of a 0.4% gain to print at 0.1%.
