Greece’s industrial production increased for the third straight month in January, though at a slower pace than in the previous month, data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority showed Friday.
Industrial production rose a working-day-adjusted 4.6 percent year-over-year in January, following a 6.2 percent climb in December.
Production in the manufacturing sector grew 5.8 percent annually in January, while mining and quarrying output plunged by 13.6 percent.
On a monthly basis, industrial production fell a seasonally adjusted 0.9 percent at the start of the year, in contrast to a 2.2 percent climb in the previous month. It was the first decrease in three months.
