Goldman Sachs: Fed Will Likely Shift Focus To December.
We see a rate hike as very unlikely since the Fed does not like to surprise markets, which are currently pricing no chance of a hike, and a number of Fed officials have signaled that they would prefer a December hike. We expect an FOMC statement that is optimistic about US growth prospects, especially given the solid GDP number last week, and possibly indicates that the committee is considering action "at its next meeting." We put the odds of a December hike at 75%, roughly in line with market expectation
