Hungary’s employee wage growth eased for the second straight month in February, figures from the Hungarian Central Statistical Office showed Tuesday.

Gross earnings rose 3.4 percent year-over-year in February, slower than January’s 4.1 percent increase. In December, earnings grew sharply by 6.7 percent.

Net earnings, which excludes the family tax benefit, also climbed 3.4 percent in February from the previous year.

In the January to February period, average gross earnings increased 3.7 percent to HUF 235,100 as compared to the same period last year.
