Ireland’s consumer prices decreased at a stable pace in November, figures from the Central Statistics Office showed Thursday.
The consumer price index fell 0.2 percent year-over-year in November, the same rate of drop as in the previous month. It was the third successive monthly decline.
Transport costs dipped 5.3 percent annually in November, mainly due to lower petrol and diesel prices. Prices of clothing and footwear fell 3.6 percent and that for food and non-alcoholic beverages slid by 1.3 percent.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices slipped 0.3 percent in November, following a 0.2 percent decrease in October.
The EU measure of inflation or HICP, edged down 0.1 percent in November from a year ago, after showing no variations in the preceding two months.
Month-on-month, the harmonized index of consumer prices dropped 0.4 percent in November, which was worse than the 0.3 percent fall a month earlier.
