Ireland’s industrial production growth quickened markedly in December, after easing in the previous two months, preliminary figures from the Central Statistics Office showed Wednesday.
Industrial production surged a seasonally adjusted 20.4 percent year-over-year in December, much faster than the 9.8 percent climb in November. Production has been rising since June 2015.
On a monthly basis, industrial production fell 3.2 percent in December, which was worse than the 1.1 percent drop in the preceding month. It was the second successive monthly decrease.
In the three months ended December, total industrial production rose 0.4 percent compared with the previous three-month period.
